For those who remember about last weeks garage sale and the little boy, I have an answer. his dad came by to get the HOA presidents number and I asked if the little boy was okay.
His dad told me that Josh is extremely social and when there are no kids to play with he has no idea what to do and talks to anyone who talks back. Ha! Then I told him about asking me for money and he said Josh has this new air gun which requires air chips and he is searching for money anywhere since his parents have put a limit on the amount they give him. They apologized and assured me he was normal.
Bless his heart!
If you want to see a very sweet picture, click here!
On another note, I wonder if I share too much here. I don't feel like I do but I also know that I share more here than I do with family and friends, which is actually healthy for me!!
Yeah, people from freecycle came by and took the rest of the garage sale items away to charity for me! Yeah!!!!
That's all I have to say!
Amy . . .
What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

I've Been Tagged and Nominated
I have been nominated for a Rockin Blog Award. How cool is that? I cant find the little picture to put up but if I could I would! Thanks a bunches!
Ok I have been tagged and here are the rules!
Thanks go out to Amy the Black who tagged me!
All right, here are the rules.
We have to post these rules before we give you the facts.
Players start with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they're tagged, and to read your blog.
Here are my 8 random facts. Feel free to comment on one or all of them. Warning, these are pretty random.
1. I do not know much about herbs or spices. I have a ton of them as do Rachel Ray and Paula Dean but I have no idea what to do with them. This has bothered me.
2. I hope I can find creativity to make a cute nursery for our LynnMarie!
3.I talk to Lucy the Basset hound as if she can talk back, seriously I do!
4. I love my job as a pediatric RN but I also love to call in sick from work. Whats wrong with me?
5. I seriously thought I was going to marry Luke Perry! Darn that Brenda!
6. I love chick flicks!
7. I went to Union University in 10 years and had a blast!
8.I live off of memories. memories keep me sane. Making new memories and reliving old ones are so important to me!
Told ya it was random!
Here are the 8 people I am tagging. Feel free to just do one or 2 or to relist your list if you have done this before..
Remember the post about the boy from the garage sale? Ill talk about that tomorrow

Jury Duty update
Looks like I have been chosen. Will report at 1oam tomorrow..It feels good to be a winner!!
Im out of here!!!!
Im out of here!!!!
Im taking a break from Thurday 13s for a while..Just need a break. I will back reading and posting about that soon.
Anyway, Michael is out to house sit and I am waiting to call at 10am to see where I stand regarding jury duty. I think I may have to go in today and if I get on a case, that would be cool. If not, I hope to get motivated to clean our house a bit and get things outside for a charity to pick them up tomorrow.
Next week is the 4th of July and Michaels brother and family will be in town. We are hoping to spend some time with them.
Not much going on..Please pray for Jeff and Val. Jeffs grandmothers funeral was yesterday and then yesterday Vals grandfather passed away. What a hard thing to experience as newlyweds!
Anyway, like I have said, satan is attacking my family with things no one should have to experience. Please pray for my family today!!!!!
Hopefully, I will have something intereesting to post about later today! Peace out!!!

Jury Duty summary
I got up way too early but I am paranoid about being late so there you have it..Got up at 6:15, had to be there by 8. Its like 15 minutes away but I left at 7. Now I think since I was nervous, my sense of direction was totally screwed up (Michael, No comments please, hahah). Well, I was not late and found the overflow parking at the library at Marietta Square.
I took the shuttle bus over to the courthouse, got frisked and was signed in. I went to the juror assembly room and sat in the front row! Why? I swear the whole room was staring at me and figured once I sat down, they would quit. I then started my Debbie Macomber book. Got to page 5 and then orientation began. Okay, Fulton County is so much bigger than Cobb county and we never got an orientation. The judge on today was the one who did the whole Crematorium thing a few years ago when bodies were not buried in the right places. I never would have known this but the dude sitting beside me told me this. So the front row was full and we proceeded to hear what we would be doing and such, pretty much waiting.
As you read in the previous post, the guy beside me literally lives right around the corner from me. We talked about the neighborhood and he gave me his wife's number as she hires nurses for Home Health. I continued reading and got about 150 pages done today.
We get a break from 9-10am. We get back in an wait some more. We were given our panel numbers (i am panel 4) and a few panels were told to go ahead and leave and come back at 1:30. We figured they were definitely getting a case and perhaps we would go home. Honestly, no one went home early. At 11:30, more people are told to leave and come back and the rest of us were dismissed at noon.
As you can tell, I spent my lunch hour on the computer, which was A okay with me. 1:30 comes and not everyone is back. Uh oh. Panel 4 is called and is asked to line up. I first to walk into the court room and I find my nice comfy seat in the corner..A court room is a pretty cool place. Once all 36 potential jurors are in, we are sworn in and they start asking each group of 12 of us certain questions. they ask a question and if your answer is yes, you raise your hand. they take a tally and this will help later. In the room are the judge, the defense attorney and state prosecutor, the court report who had this large thing that covered his mouth. I have to figure what this was because it was very odd looking. Also in the room was the person who was accused and a lady who simply read out names.
After group questioning, we took a break and came back for individual questioning. This was done in front of the whole group. They asked some more detailed questions to the previous questions and some other things. I was not surprised by what they asked me. Then break time again and then the strike out. I was number 6 in my group and was declined by the state but accepted by the defense. They had chosen the 12 after the first 24, so they other 12 were just excused.
Long day, but interesting. I didn't add that many details because I am paranoid of getting in trouble so I am not sharing what potential case it was or what questions they asked me. If you get called for jury duty, bring a book but it will be a positive experience!

Jury Duty Update
Its noon. We were dismissed for lunch but instead of fighting traffic, I shall take my coke zero and Cheetos's for lunch,
Might I add that Cobb County has been much fmore entertaining than Fulton County was for my jury duty.
The guy beside me lives directly behind me. You heard that correctly and his wife hires for home health nursing..Woo Hoo. this could be a cool part time job. It is a small world.
No drama yet..I hear people talking that there might be a child molestation case. If that's the case, I (a pediatric nurse) will probably be eliminated.. Not in that way.
I will more than likely be here a bit longer and will have to come back tomorrow around 9am. I got stressed getting here but its not bad. If you have ever been to Marietta Square, its quite nice. I almost want to just walk around here some time.
Our friend Jeff lost his grandma this weekend. Please say a prayer for his family

I'm out of here in 20 minutes to see if I am on the jury. It got me off work last night, which is a plus but I dont know how much I can read in 8 hours
Hope you all have a great day!!!!

Garage Sale??? Successful
I am sunburned and tired. Michael and I had a busy day and he summarized the day over that the adoption blog.
I had a good day. We met some really cool neighbors, Lucy spent time outside, and now our garage looks worse than it did before the sale.
Here are the interesting facts about our sale
1) Michael finished up bringing things down from the attic that the previous owner left..Honestly most of it was crap but there was one special box that had some pretties and other things that we sold.
2)Michael sold 2 florida license plates... We don't want to know the reason, we just wanted the money
3) One neighbors aunt recently died. The aunt taught literature at my college, Union Univ
4) Michael found a yearbook in the attic that did not belong to the previous owner. The year book was from the 1975 class of Columbine High School in Littleton, Colarado.
5) Sweet little ladies try to rip you off. Perhaps they are looking for a good deal, but that's not what it felt like...even the one that look like Paula Dean
6) Garage sales are like trick or treating for for grown ups. Everyone had a bag of stuff and wanted a handout of some kind..I think that's kind of sweet. At least I have something to look forward to.
Need advice..
Our neighbors have 3 kids living with them. Josh is the middle child is 10-11 years old. I always say hi to him and he always smiles but never says hi. Today he was very friendly..from noon on, he kept coming over and saying hi, just walking around. His mom had already visited during the day. He kept looking and I kept asking if he was ok..Around 1 or 130 he came by looking at things and asking how much things were. he looked at our movies and then some stuffed animals. I told him to take them home for his little sister for free. He never did. He asked about the George Forman grill, I gave him a price and asked him to ask his mom before he bought anything. He just kept walking around and not going home.
I went ahead and asked him"Josh are you ok? Are you afraid to go home? He asked me to clarify and he said no...
I started taking things down at 3pm and he wouldn't leave, just kept walking around. A gentleman asked me how much our book stand was and I gave him a price. Then Josh said to me" Can I have the money that man gives you for the bookshelf?" I asked him why and told him nicely no and asked him what was up?? He then went home.
I am concerned because that was just odd. Michael and I are definitely locking our doors. What would you do? Should I go talk to his mom about the question or just leave it alone??
Thanks guys and thanks for the prayers!

Garage sale
Last post before garage sale. I can not wait to sell this stuff or give it away. Im tired and when I tired all emotions are way exaggerated. I feel sad but I dont know why. I think I just need sleep and will be better at 5am tomorrow when I get up to start moving things outside.
7 neigbors have picked up balloons. Ad is in the paper, Michael put posters out and I will put another one out in the morning. Friends are stopping by and it will be nice to visit.
Its 9pm and kids are playing outside with water guns and I can see lightening bugs or fireflies (much better word)..Life is good. Oh I remember those days, (sort of, Im getting old)
Tootles,
Wish us luck!!!

miscellaneous
So the garage sale is in 36 hours. A coworker came by and helped Michael move some furniture downstairs, which was pretty nice. So after work, Ill be sleeping for a bit and then let the fun begin. There is more to bring down and we will be organizing and pricing, hanging signs, and passing out balloons (or letting people pick them them from our house). A few more houses have also signed up!
I forgot to mention that I have possible Jury Duty next week. Ill find out Sunday night if I have to go or not. Part of me wants to go sit around all day and read a book and the other part of wants to be cancelled so I can work nights and get my shift differential..
I have been enjoying all the recommended blogs, all of them are great and are now part of my bloglines (which totally rocks)!!!
Will you guys pray for little K.K tonight? I don't have permission to share her name and I have not met her, but she was diagnosed with leukemia in April and is doing so well. Just please lift up all in involved!!
NOt much more. I am so ready to just chill on the couch and watch a movie or two with my Michael. Have any suggestions?
If anyone of you are in the Atlanta area, and want to stop by Saturday, we would love to see ya!!!
Email me at amyschristopher@comcast.net for our address

Im at work. Anticipating possible calling in tomorrow and taking a vacation day to prepare for the garage sale but I am the only one who can be in charge so that took care of that decision..
Lets see, what should our question be today?
You have seven days off from work, its any time of the year. You have unlimited funds. WHere would you go on vacation? It must be somewhere you have visited before. Tell us where and what makes that stand out!

Tuesday was an interesting day. Nothing dramatic which is always nice but I am hoping to be more productive today.
Ya know, marriage is kind of cool. Michael and I are really truly blessed, we have really never struggled. Michael isn't employed right now and I should be scared. Lets be honest, I am a little worried, actually pretty worried. But I am not scared. Its odd, but I kind of look forward to going through this valley together. Its already made us communicate more, watch the words we use and to really think. Marriage is a partnership! God created our relationship and he using this to mold us into better partners for each other.
Am I wacked? I love a challenge. This is going to be harder than I expected and we are going to have to make some sacrifices.
Pray for Michael, pray that he will stay motivated, encouraged, and cheerful. Pray that I can encourage him and to stay positive
On another note, Rosie O'Donnell doing my favorite game of Plinko on The Price is Right scares me!
