Amy . . .

What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

food

So no we are home and one of my goals is to quit eating out so much. Really try. We do play trivia one night a week but we don't have to eat there. But that's besides the point.

A lot of people sent me emails on healthy food and baby foods. So I ask of you, what do you always have on hand in your fridge, freezer and pantry? What are your simply, easy, healthy meals that you routinely make?

Any input is greatly appreciated

Thanks for praying for us!!

Many more are coming but I slept almost 7 hours last night and plan on taking my nap with her today. YIPPEEEE!!!!!!

In case you have not checked out the adoption blog to see all of sweet girls pics, I have added a few for you..

on my mind

Tomorrow night is our last night before China..Can you believe this? parenthood is impending.

So what am I feeling? happiness, joy, fear of the unknown, nervous.

So surreal. Some of you have been reading my blog since we started the process and some of you have just started reading. This adoption thing is so crazy....

In one week, 2 worlds will collide. We have had 7 years of marriage and its just been about us. She has been in a home in another country with different smells, tastes, sounds. In one week our stories will become one and a new great adventure will begin.

whats been going on

I can't believe I have not posted about these past couple of weeks. I went to my first consignment sale this week and that was fun. Not only did I get to spend time with my friend, but LynnMarie got some cool stuff including a high chair and lamp for her room!

We have had friends help with packing, paperwork and helping to move furniture! Friends rock!

To some the adoption process may be coming to an end but to me it seems like its moving to a next level. I can not believe we are going to hold her and love her and pray over her soon. Crazy stuff!!!

I tell you this process has been amazing. God has used this wait to show Himself to me and to others and its been soo cool to see the things he has done. He brought new friendships and shown me how to love and to be loved. It really doesn't get much better.

We will be blogging during the trip so make sure you check www.thechristopherfamily.blogspot.com and will be sending updates via the email prayer list so if you want to be on that, make sure you send me an email over to lovinglynnmarie@hotmail.com.

The next few days will be busy but I will be updating random thoughts...

You guys rock!

Book review- Every Sunrise and contest by author

Every Sunrise by Tricia Goyer

I quickly jumped at the chance to review this book as I have enjoyed the first 2 books in the series. If you are looking for a sweet, feel good but realistic book, check this series out. Kind of reminds me of the Waltons meet the Ingalls but in the 21st series. i have included some info on the book but make sure you read it all, but it includes a contest from the author. I know one of my blog readers has wone one before , I would love to see another..Let me know if you enter the contest.!!

About Every Sunrise: The bleak winter days make February on Heather Creek Farm a test of endurance, and as winter wears on, Sam becomes more and more withdrawn and unhappy. Bob is busy planning a surprise for Charlotte, and Christopher is excited about a local writing competition, while a Valentine’s Day flower from a secret source lifts Emily’s spirits. But when Sam disappears from the farm one night, chasing a memory of the father who abandoned them all, Charlotte and Bob need all the help—and prayer—they can get to bring him home safely. This broken family needs God’s help like never before, but their trials remind them all that every sunrise brings a new beginning.

About the Home to Heather Creek series: Charlotte Stevenson's world is turned upside down when her daughter, Denise, dies in a tragic car accident. She ran away at eighteen and Charlotte has never forgiven herself. Now, Denise's children, abandoned by their father, are coming from California to live on Heather Creek Farm in Bedford, Nebraska.

Charlotte is uncertain about her ability to care for three grandchildren who are not thrilled to give up the beach and sunshine for snow and farm chores! But she sees a chance to make amends and will do whatever it takes to keep her fragile family together. Feel the courage, strength and commitment of this family as their lives unfold in the Home to Heather Creek series.
