Amy . . .

What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

Ni Hao

My first post as a mom. Sweet. I sit here aat 7:15am on Monday morning watching Curious George with LynnMarie. What do your kids watch in the morning? What do you feed your 1 year old besides formula (had to change to American formula last night) These are just a few of the questions I have.

Many more are coming but I slept almost 7 hours last night and plan on taking my nap with her today. YIPPEEEE!!!!!!

In case you have not checked out the adoption blog to see all of sweet girls pics, I have added a few for you..

IS SHE NOT AMAZING?

Does it still feel surreal? I know even after a year with Avery it sometimes still shocks me to say "my daughter". She is just precious!!!

As for your questions...Avery watches the disney channel: Mickey Mouse Club House, Handy Manny, Tigger and Pooh, and that whole morning line up.

When we brought her home at 11 months she had only been given formula and rice cereal in the SWI. We started her on baby food (stage 2 and 3) just to get used to chewing. We also gave her a bowl of rice cereal at night right before bed to make her tummy full to encourage sleeping through the night. The snack that was a life saver for us was Mum Mums. The are thin wafer like sticks that we found at Wal-Mart (never saw them anywhere else)in the baby food area that Avery devoured both before and after she got several teeth.

Hope that helps!!

Yes she is! When my kids were little they liked to snack on Cheerios, but make sure she is used to chewing first. Also, my kids were little before everyone was worried (justifiably) about developing allergies to wheat, nuts, etc...so I may have just given bad advice. I'm going to have to read your other comments since we are starting over the whole baby thing at my house next July.

Amy! Welcome home Momma! :) She is just beautiful. :) Hmm when my son was one he at a lot of mashed stuff like banana's and sweet potatos, all sorts of good stuff. I tried to make as much of my own baby food as possible. I would freeze it in ice cube trays and each cube was 2 T I think.

Sweet....just absolutely adorable!

I always gave my kids rice cereal as one of their first foods and then onto the baby foods and mashed potatoes etc.

too cute. I am so excited for you guys and can't wait to see this little beauty grow strong and healthy by the grace of God almighty! As for Maleah, she likes to watch Veggie Tales. Kinda strange at 9 months...I think they hypnotize them. Not further comment needed, eh?
