Christmas Movies

Apparently, there are a lot more movies than I previously listed. Its now 430 am at work and honestly I am bored..The patients are asleep and I am done chatting..Just wondering what your thoughts are on these.. My thoughts on these will be in red. If no one reads this, its okay. I am bored.
Found this on the internet:

Bad Santa . may be the trashiest Christmas movie i have seen. It makes fun of a little boy and a little person...not cool..there was one funny line in this!
Bishop's Wife, The (1947) -- An angel helps an Episcopalian bishop rearrange his priorities. I have never seen this
A Christmas Carol (1951 and later versions) -- Charles Dickens' ghostly meditation on the holiday. A classic. I wish I had time to watch this every year

Christmas in Connecticut (1945) -- Fibbing columnist must entertain war hero for the holidays.

Holiday Inn (1942) -- Musicians prepare for a white Christmas at cosy lodge.
I'll Be Home for Christmas (1998) -- A college student finds it hard to get home for the holidays. There are 2 7th Heaven stars in this. I think I am the only who saw this. I really liked it
It's A Wonderful Life (1946) -- Classic tale, climaxing at Christmas, of a man who gets to see what his hometown would be like had he never lived. Just started watching this a few years ago but how can you not like it?
Jingle All the Way (1996) -- Dad, while searching for season's hot toy, finds season's true meaning. Never saw the whole thing
Joyeux Noël (2005) -- World War I trenches go silent during the "Christmas truce" of 1914.
Miracle on 34th Street (1947), remade (1973 & 1994) -- Macy's Santa, with help from the U.S.Postal Service, restores little girl's faith. Loved both of them, but I prefer the first
The Nativity Story (2006) -- The story of the first Christmas.

Now that's a list of Christmas Movies! You must have been bored ~ geeze.

I will say that I've seen both Holiday Inn and White Christmas (I'm a pretty big fan of Bing Crosby at Christmas time). They were both good ~ but White Christmas is the one I grew up with and just LOVE! I have been bugging my parents to buy it for me. :)

And then there is Bad Santa...ugh. Funny parts ~ yes. Mostly way to raunchy and over the top ~ yes. The first time I tried to watch it I had to turn it off because Billy Bob grossed me out so much. I have seen the whole thing and am glad he has a change of heart...but ugh.

TNT has A Christmas Story on 24 hours a day on Christmas Day...so you shouldn't have any trouble catching that one this year!

A bit of movie trivia: Prancer, was filmed in LaPorte, Indiana which is where we spent several years of my daughter's younger childhood. The older lady, Marcia Porter, who played the teacher, was an employee of mine.

Ok quick thoughs

Bad Santa is funny any time of year.

Love Actually is one of our favorites, it is the perfect amount of sappy.

A Cary Grant movie, how could it be bad, hence Bishops Wife makes the cut here.

White Christmas, Christmas Vacation and Miracle on 34th street (94 edition) are holiday Duck Family classics and necessities.

I hated all the Santa Clause movies.

now you can go on with your life :)

Watch Christmas in Connecticut. It is a great film. Also there is a movie called "Beyond Christmas", it starts out around Christmas but goes on, so it can be watched all year. It is from 1940 so it is a wee bit dated but lovely none the less. (VHS ONLY)

Also there is a great family movie called "Blizzard", that is one of the best movies I discovered this year. It isn't old (2003 I think).

I love holiday movies, I'm working on watching them all, I didn't realize there were over 400. I've seen many of them though. I have a list on my blog, somewhere. LOL!

Enjoy watching them.
