Amy . . .

What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

General blog entry.

Not too much going on today..Starting to stress over Thanksgiving dinner, but I have done it before so I know its okay..

Now to promote hubbys blog since apparently I am promoted my own way too much (thank you Jeff and Michael, I know you were kidding)

Hubby is doing Friday Flashback over at www.valtool.blogspot.com which will include old videos more than likely from the 80s. I will not promote again until he plays a song by NKOTB so that may be a while.

The Christmas season has arrived. Cold weather, Christmas music, decorations, parties, I love it. The only way this holiday season could be better is if we were in a home church. We will attend Christmas Eve services somewhere, but I miss the feeling of being near friends you call family. Ya know? SO that's what's on my mind plus working on adoption things.

For those of you who have children, how has the Christmas season changed for you???

Last Christmas was such a blurr due to lack of sleep, I can't say it changed much at all...I know that this year we are a lot busier with parties and such. Apparently, Santa visits the hospital (where my MIL works) so we have to go there. He also will be at the Firehall (where my dad spend too much time) so we will be visiting him there. Finally, he's making an appearance at the HNF (where my mom works) so that makes 3 holiday parties focusing around my son...and he's only 1 year old!

It really changes. For one thing you are so much more excited to see your kids face on christmas morning, and putting a bike together at midnight is always lots of fun.To me everything changed when I had Nathan, Christmas meant so much more to me celebrating the birth of Jesus. My salvation meant more to me because I understood what GOd sacrificed for me.

Christmas changed for me when Ashlyn was born because I wanted to give her the world.

Hi Amy, thanks for visiting my blog! First I want to say that I will be praying for your journey through the adoption process. How exciting! My hubby and I adopted a family of three~2 girls and 1 boy~from our home state! Since November is Adoption Awareness Month I ought to write our story, huh?

Having children changed our Christmases for the better~we no longer get to bed at a decent hour on Christmas Eve and we are usually up by about 5am the next morning! Dad and I are groggy as we watch the kids go from one gift to the next to the next! I wouldn't change a thing!!!

I'm just starting to get into the "Christmas Spirit". I usually hold off strictly all things Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving so that I may enjoy each holiday to it's fullest. It is fun looking at all the colorful decorations and stuff thats out though...

Kids really change everything about Christmas... Ther's more anticipation, more fun, more activity and a whole lot more love... Wrapping presents after the kids go to sleep, hiding them so they don't realise what's going on... their demands from santa... Well, mine have given me a list to email to "Santa"... I try to expalin that Christmas is much more than presents... butI guess, that might take times... They are just 5 & 3, so maybe there's still time for all that

Secrets. Suddenly I have to find space to hide things in a relatively small house with few undiscovered nooks. I'm always worried someone's going to find something from Santa while pawing through my closet.
