Amy . . .

What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

Monday Memory

Lets see. I love memories! Most of my memories involve my younger sister Kelly whose children have been featured here.

I remember my family taking me to college. I went to a small Southern Baptist college called Union University.. I had a dorm with 3 other girls and we had a kitchen. As much as I wanted to prepare by buying things, my mom said "You aren't setting up an apartment, you dont need all that"? We learned that I actually did need that as the other girls had packed well. Dad and Kelly made a run for Kmart or Target and purchased me things so that I wouldnt feel like such a dork. I never felt like a dork and I am still friends with my roomies, so I guess it worked out well. Kelly was my interior decorator. She tried to make it pretty but there wasnt much to work at..

Then there was that Thanksgiving that Kelly told me to wear a vest over a shirt and not to tuck the shirt in. We now agree I looked like a dork. Thanks Kelly, I will think of you this holiday season!!!!

I tell you what, I'm darn thankful to have gone to Union where we could have kitchens in our dorms. Not every college would allow hormonal, crazy 19-year-olds around fire hazards like that. Okay, so yeah, we still burned things for the fun of it, but not in the kitchen!

Great memory! Thanks for stopping by!

I remember when I first moved into the dorm at IUP. We didn't pack a lot of little things like shampoo, soap, laundry stuff...or some bigger items like closet organizing and desk organizing stuff. We wanted to wait and see what was there. My parents had the great idea that we would just go to the local WalMart (we didn't have one near home so the one at IUP was a big deal for my mom ~ she'd use any excuse to stop there). I've never seen a WalMart as crowded as it was that day ~ not even Christmas Eve could compare to move in day for Freshmen at IUP. UGH!

A post about me :) Always love that... I thought it looked great, the vest. Your room looked great, I had fun with Dad shopping for your pad. What would we have if not for these fun memories.
Love ya Amy...

Visiting you from you visiting my blog. I just saw you live in Kennesaw. I used to live there. Right down the highway from the mountain. That was quite a few years ago.

Yes, my sister and I have a special thing going too--she keeps me from ever getting a big head since she's right there reminding me of all the annoying/dumb things I've ever done.

Hey there ~ just wanted to thank you for stopping by yesterday (or was it today?) and showing me support after my vent! I feel a lot better today, but I'm afraid it's the calm before the storm...hubby is waiting for an offer letter from new job before giving current job his 2 weeks ~ he thinks they will just tell him to pack up and go the day he tells them. Great! :)

Anyway, thanks again! :) If you ever need to vent about anything I'll be here to listen!
