What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

Greeting friends from Atlanta!!!! Michael has a recent post as well. Go check it out here. Go ahead. I will wait for you. Did you go visit? Did you? Good. Back to reguarly scheduled blogging.

I worked extra Sunday night and had a very nice, easy shift. At 7:30am, we heard this words. "Children's Healthcare of Atlanta welcomes the Joint Commission". ANyone who has worked in a hospital knows that Joint Commission is scary. This is the group that makes surprise visits and checks out everything, including your charting, your patient care and asks lots of questions. Needless to say I was tired and high tailed it out of their before anyone could catch me.
Did anyone watch October Road last year? I loved the show but never heard it was cancelled. Just wondering.

I have not had a soda in quite a few days and its really not that big of a deal. I have also decided not to consume any alcohol. I usually had a drink or 2 during trivia but realized it was just unnecessary calories. Now my problem is my shoes. I want to exercise. I need to exercise. Michael bought me a new pair of shoes just a few months ago but my feet hurt. At work, I have been wearing my friends (i know i need to get my own) crocks which are so comfortable and my feet do not hurt at work anymore. Anyone have suggestions? I need a good shoe so I can do a couple miles on the treadmill and the eliptical. Primarily its my right foot near my big toe. Perhaps I need a bigger size...Ahhh..It would make exercise more comfortable.

Michael and I played trivia last night with some members of our small group and had a good time and the only question I knew was the color of the road on Wizard of Oz. Had a nice time anyway. Michael has the day off so we will chill before I take my nap this afternoon.
Its also time to start cleaning the house for Turkey Day. Need to get the carpets cleaned upstairs (thank goodness we got laminate last year, that will save some money). I have cut my coupons and made my shopping list so I am quite excited..Yippee!. My sister will be definitely visiting and I will be able to visit with the niece and nephew on Wednesday. It should be a very nice week.

Yesterday Lucy the basset hound and Pixel (Pickle) the large kitten teamed up to catch and bring to the back door a dead baby squirrel. Michael realized that found a hole where these things are living. I do not like dead animals and I had no idea what they were doing yesterday but for an hour, they were best friends.

Thanks to all who have signed up for the card exchange. You still have about a week to sign up so if you feel like exchanging Christmas cards, click on the button below, join the group and fill out the database..I will be back later.

Check out Zappos.com and look for Propet shoes. They are some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn - rival my Birks in comfort for a shoe that isn't a sandal. They come in all widths and are comfortable from the moment you put them on. I walked all through China (twice) with only my Propets.

I always buy good running shoes or walking shoes with a good arch....try several brands on to see what feels the most comfortable.

Hmm, I'm not sure I can offer any shoe advice, as I never seem to find shoes that are comfortable and I can't bring myself to wear Crocs. :)

For working out, I highly suggest going to New Balance. If they fit you for a shoe, you'd be surprised how much better your feet feel. I also put an insert in mine for heel spurs recently. They work wonders.

Have a great week.

I am SO bad at trivia games. I can't even get the easy ones correct! I'd rather play something easier like Candyland since I do know my colors. hee hee

Hey, Amy...I wear a FULL size bigger in my running shoes. That makes room near my toes so they don't bang against the shoe while running. I never knew I needed to do this until last year when I got fitted. I have never been happier!

Hi Amy, I visited Michael's blog first... I remember Joint Commission making rounds in the hospital when I worked.. I would always hurry and get out of there before they came to the nursery.. I need to find good shoes also to exercise in.. tell me if you find them. Baba

Ditto on the bigger size for exercizing, as it also gives you room for comfortable socks. I'd suggest going to a store with a huge athletic shoe selection, and looking for running or cross-training shoes with really good arch support (this eliminated knee pain for me). New Balance or Nike are my faves because they feel like you're walking on air, which means good shock absorbtion. Also, exercize shoes need to be replaced every few months, because they wear out more quickly than everyday shoes.

I get new shoes about 3-4 times a year because my feet start really hurting. It really is difficult to exercise 4-5 times a week 30-45 minutes each time with sore feet..Thanks for your help!

Amy and I were watching an episode of Grey's Anatomy we'd taped and we found out that October Road is returning on Monday, November 26.
