Amy . . .

What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

Tuesday

Well, I surprisingly got a day off today as we had 3 extra nurses and I was very overtime this week. Michael was also off and was able to blog last night. As usual, read his lovely words here. Go say like days when we have nothing planned and can just lounge around. So if you were to ask me what we did today, I will reply NOTHING!

I'm not fully awake but I am getting there. I have had several people sign up for the Christmas Card exchange (see below) and there is plenty of time to join! Just click on the yahoo group button and fill out the database when you join.
Its definitely fall here in Atlanta as the weather has been very cool all week. Thanksgiving us just around the corner which means Christmas is coming! Yipee! Please dont think I forgot about Turkey Day. I feel sorry for Thanksgiving because I think it gets forgotten. BooHoo!
I worked Sat,Sun and Mon so I was unable to go to church was sad but I am off this Saturday night so I should be able to go.

Random question for ya, whats your favorite Thanksgiving dish?

Pumpkin Pie!!!!! Sugar addict here!

I love Thanksgiving because I think it's the only holiday where you don't have to do anything but eat and watch TV.....I'm for that!

Cornbread dressing! I wouldn't care if there wasn't a turkey as long as I could have the dressing. :)

One of my favorite dishes is candied yams w/melted marshmallows on top!

Dutch apple crumb pie. Yummy! And my mom makes the best home made mac and cheese. She only makes it for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter.

Homemade chicken noodle soup with handmade noodles, and homemade broth that my mom will make if I ask nicely and help with.
Next favorite is the Turkey, but just the turkey that my dad makes, oh so juicy and flavorful. I wish everyone could have some of his juicy turkey. Dry turkey makes me gag since I have been so spoiled by his.

Is it possible to pick just ONE! I love roasted sweet potatoes, dressing, green bean bundles....my kids favorite might be rice and broccoli casserole.

That's why I like Canadian thanksgiving...it's in early October, so it doesn't get forgotten in the rush and busyness of Christmas.

I'll come check out the card exhange a bit later when I have more time...

Candied Sweet Potatoes without any Marshmellows. LOVE IT!

My 2 favorite Holidays are Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Which you just reminded me I need to finalize my grocery list for Friday....

I agree. Thanksgiving is the forgotten holiday. This time of year, Christmas seems to be the main focus. I stopped by your hubby's blog earlier in the week, but I have not commented yet.
