Amy . . .

What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

Picture and TJ

This is what happens when you try to change eating habits. I threw out 5 bags of stuff from the pantry, fridge and freezer.
On another note, I decided to visit Trader Joes for the first time today. Anyone have any recommendations?

I love Trader Joe's although it can't meet all my grocery needs.

Their frozen veggies are excellent, especially their corn. They also sell the No Pudge Brownie Mix that are made with low fat yogurt. I also like to buy their dried strawberries and put them on cereal.

Also - Way to go throwing all that stuff out...it's for the best!

Good bye JUNK! Way to go, so many people have trouble just throwing it away. I always tell people that if you saw a carton of cigarettes sitting around you wouldn't be saying to give that to someone else who could "use them". JUNK food is no good for anyone!

Quinoa. That's my favorite thing to buy at Trader Joes (cuz I can't seem to find it anywhere else).

That is awesome, Amy!!!
I have done that several times! It is amazing how much junk can collect in the house.
So proud of you for really doing this.
Can't wait for the end of April!!!

Good for you, Amy! That's one thing I learned -- if I didn't buy it, I couldn't eat it. ;)

The great thing about Trader Joe's is their employees sample and have to approve of absolutely everything they sell. So honestly, talk to someone who works there, they can make plenty suggestions.

Your picture makes me feel ashamed. I can take all of the food in my kitchen, put it in just 1 bag and still have plenty of room left over - man I should go grocery shopping more often!

Hey Amy, I found your site through Jodie's site. It's great to see other people doing it! Also, hello... everyone's site that I visit is also a Christian!! I struggle with not having a lot of Christian supports, so who would have thought that I join WW and have all these awesome people who are doing it as well, who just happen to be Christians! God is good!

Wow, that's amazing! I admit that I never really threw out stuff when I was on WW. I should have.

Congrats to you for doing this.

Hi, Amy!

This is your secret pal. I am happy that you are doing so well on weight watchers and feel very bad that I sent you a March gift box with all sorts of Asian goodies. I thought they would be neat to try out.....oh well!!

Keep on going...you are doing great!

I'm a little curious about what got thrown out that I might have wanted to or planned to eat. The thing is, Amy did this while I was at work, attacking the pantry and the fridge/freeer, so I have no idea what is missing until I decide that I'm in a mood for something I know we had but then can not find.... :(

Ummmm, honey where is my ice cream? Did you eat it all? lol You know he'll be looking for it.

You are making very healthy decisions for yourself. Way to go! I wish I could say the same for me! I just read about your 5.8 weight loss -- HOORAY!! That is huge, Amy. Way to go!!

ps: I know you are a somewhat regular reader and occasional commenter...had you wanted to be included in my list once I go private? I'd love to keep you as a reader. Sorry I don't comment on your site very often, but I always enjoy my visits here.
