Why is Lucy looking for a warm spot to sleep? How cool is it where you are? Here in central California my dog Honeybear is often looking for the coolest spot on the tile...
But I'm sure glad you found her before running the dryer, ha ha!

How funny....and sad.
Lucy likes a warm blanket to sleep on, so much that Amy typically tosses one in the dryer for a few minutes before we put her in the kennel for the night. Thursday in Atlanta we actually had a new record high of 103, breaking the 101 record from 1980.
My personal thought was, when she wanted out, she would let us know. The timing was good because we were about to have dinner and Lucy is not always well-behaved while we eat. Later last night we had some ice cream and she stared at us the entire time, just knowing we were eating, having no idea what it was, and then she wanted to lick the bowls.
Oh how funny she was in there but I'm glad she was okay and you found her in there before using the dryer!
Oh my goodness, poor Lucy. My dog is looking for cool spots these days though, and not warm ones. :)
Lucy the basset hound is a special kind of dog!! heehee
