Amy . . .

What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

My visit to Trader Joes

Ok, for some reason, I decided to head on over to Trader Joe's in the rain. I have been looking forward to it and I had a good time. I decided to walk around and take it in before putting anything in my cart. I started talking to a gentleman about the things on my recommended list. He thing proceeded to embarrass me hollering " we have a first timer". Nice guy though. Okay. so its not as big as I thought it would be but dang its a neat store.

I got almost everything on my list except the chicken skewers which were the only thing that was a bit pricey. Seriously, this store is ridiculously inexpensive. So the pics above are what I bought, all for less than 50 bucks and that's a lot of food. Cant wait to go back, but it wont be a daily or weekly thing. I'll have to see what I like and what works for points. There is a cool shrimp stir fry and the whole bag is like 12 points. Wowsers!!! For those not on WW, that's pretty good!

So that's about it for now. This morning I had Special K almond vanilla cereal with FF milk and a banana. Time for Water..

Rock On!

I had never heard of Trader Joes....what kind of store is it?

You are one brave woman getting rid of all the non-healthy foods in your home....don't know if I would be brave enough to do it.

I need to be honest, I didnt get rid of all the unhealthy foods just a lot of food we had not eaten in a very very long time

Glad you enjoyed your first trip to TRADER JOES. At ours they have small grocery carts for kids to push around. My girls love going there....now maybe I'll make a trip there this afternoon that I'm thinking about it. BTW Steven Curtis Chapman is my favorite Christian artist. I saw him not too long ago in concert too. We adopted our twins from the foster care system. When they get a little bit older, we may adopt again.

Hi Amy - The Comment Game isn't mine. Anyone can use it. It's my graphic, but the game its self has been around for years. Go ahead and enjoy. :)

I will have to check it out. Oh and on the stir fry and premade frozen stuff, I always add an extra bag of frozen vegs for bulk. I am a volume eater!

Oh Amy, I just love TJ's... I go pretty much every week or other week. I would have to say that I have tried sooo many of their items and have loved them all, but maybe a very few. I'm usually never disappointed. And those chicken skewers... are worth it!!! I started shopping here when I too started WW. Good luck!

I took my wife to Trader Joe when we were still dating and she didn't really like the store. But now, she goes to Trader Joe more often than I do.

I love Trader Joes. I wish they had one here in Hawaii. Maybe then I wouldn't buy so much on layovers.
