Amy . . .

What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

All better but need a prayer for Wes

***** Update. Wes is okay. he got on the last flight out of Jamaica last night*****

Thanks so much for your encouragement. What cures the blahs? A very very busy Friday night in a pediatric hospita. OOh I needed that.

Back to work with my patients, families and coworkers. Fun stuff. In case you did not know I work at CHOA which according to magazines, is the 3rd best pediatric hospital in the country and one of the best companies to work for in Atlanta. I work on PCA 1 which is a craniofacial/neuro floor. Patients that I take care of have cleft lips and palates, other facial deformities, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, mitochondrial disorders, seizures, spinal cord stuff, brain tumors and other things. I love it. I love to visit other floors as well. I have friends on the Aflac floor (the oncology) and one day I would love work with the nurses on that floor. It was nice to be back at work.

I need to get my ticker back on my blog because Christmas is less than 5 months away!

***************WARNING*****************

If you do not like the Christmas holiday, do not visit here from mid November until January. This will be a happenning place. I love the season. I mean I really love the season. You'll see what I mean.

Anyway, back to blogging.
Pray for my brother. Mom emailed me to say Wes was in Jamaica and could not get a flight out. I have been praying. Its hard not to worry. As soon as we hear from him, I will post!!!

SO the week is over and tommorow (well today) is Sunday. We will start with church and then see where the week takes us. I was able to pick up extra hours so that will be good.

Have you seen a good DVD lately? Have you seen High School Musical?

Praying for your brother!

I watched The Holiday recently, it was pretty good!

Watched Catch and Release a few weeks ago...it was a good girly flick. As for HSM, nope, but I did go to a HSM2 party on Friday night.

Amy and I watched Catch and Release about a month ago and we liked it, but then we like Kevin Smith a lot and Amy likes Jennifer Garner. It was definitely a different story than we expected. I knew of Timothy Olyphant from "The Girl Next Door" and saw him again this summer in Live Free or Die Hard.

Oh Amy, I was wondering if travellers and residents were able to get out this morning. I will be praying for Wes and everyone else!

And yes we have seen High School Musical one and two! My teenagers love them both and they are good clean films which is a bonus for me as a mom! If you haven't watched them you should...they're pretty cute!

Oh yes on the High School Musical question! I've now seen both of them since the sequel debuted Friday. It was a big hit here and I have to admit that even I found it very cute and watchable.

I will certainly pray for your brother.

And regarding the Pay It Forward (PIF) giveaway. . . THAT'S OUR THREE! You are #1; Indiana Amy is #2; and Briggie is #3.

I'm summarily bending the rules for Indiana Amy, because (1) I'm originally from Indiana, and have a soft spot for Indianpolis, and (2) God's Grace is not a "tit-for-tat" thing either, is it?

I'll be e-mailing you later this week when I've had a chance to let my creative juices flow and figure out what the prizes are.

Amy-

My baby is having surgery at CHOA Scottish Rite next month for a tethered cord. Do you work at that location? I noticed you mentioned spinal stuff. Our daughter came home from China in May.

Blessings,

Have I seen "High School Musical"? Uhmmm...yes - about 20 times. And of course, the girls and I had a HSM2 "party" this weekend...and I've seen HSM2 twice already! You know I love me a good teeny bopper flick! :)
