Amy . . .

What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

lots to say

I have been trying to write this for a few days ago. Sunday, Michael and I made it to church where the title of the sermon was "State of the Church". It was an informative of where the church has been, where it is and the direction its going. It was nice to hear and although we have not joined anything, the church feels like home. Visit www.northmetro.org there are clips of the preaching and praise music. This church rocks!

I love the music at the church. Most of the songs are still new to me, but they are just awesome. The praise team is great and the feeling of worship is awesome. It was not your normal sermon, but this is one of the best services I have been to. They played 2 Chris Tomlin songs, which were "We were made to worship" which is my favorite and another one. There is something about hundreds of people worshipping at the same time. I dont think it was the song, but God was present on Sunday. It was beautiful. It was the kind of moment where tears run down your face and you can not control it. Oh I cant wait to get involved. I am considering joining a Wedneday morning womans bible study.

The week has been well. I have picked up an extra 12 hours this week and so far so good. Tuesday night I left for work at 545pm and got home Wednesday morning at 11am. I definitely slept good when I got home. Lucy and I slept downstairs together and she was quite happy.

Despite the 100 plus degree days we have here, fall is approaching and I am too excited. Because fall means our 6th year anniversary which is followed by Halloween which leads to Thanksgiving which leads to Christmas, the most fantabulous time of the year.

Michael is planning our anniversary celebration which I assume will be a nice dinner somewhere which is all I need. See, last year Michael and I celebrated our 5th anniversary in Williamsburg, our honeymoon destination.

Well, this fall, I hope we get to visit Helen, Ga. We missed it last year. We have the apple festival in Elijay as well. There there is the pumpkin patch, long walks, Halloween and hopefully going home for Thanksgiving this year. As excited as I am, can you imagine what its going to be like when LynnMarie gets here?

MIchael and I cutting out things we dont need and hopefully we will see our budget getting better. When that happens, I hope we can take another trip to the Jackson/Memphis Tn area. Not only did I spend 4 wonderful years at Union University, but my old roomies and friends live there now.

It's nice to hear about your church..did you read that? YOUR church! And I'm so glad it feels like home, that's the way it should be. I know you work with children all day, but have you thought about working in some children's groups? I work with the 3rd and 4th grade girls on Wednesday night and what a blessing they are. I never dreamed I would enjoy that age so much, but I was wrong. Maybe it's because we're on the same maturity level..teehee!

Fall definitely can't get here fast enough. Although being in Texas we will have to suffer through heat for a few more months, there is just something about the months of Sept-November that are just so wonderful!

Glad you have found a church you can enjoy. Fall is right around the corner and I love that time of year as well. Can't wait to share that special time of year with our daughters.

I love the fall although FL doesn't actually get a "fall" season, more like an extended summer without as much humidity. We just stayed in Ellijay in June and I fell in love. Hoping to make it there next year for the Apple Festival I have heard so much about.
Glad to hear your new church has had such a wonderful impact on your feelings already. It must be nice to feel at home there. :)

As each year goes by, I find Christmastime in America so... disgusting because of the commercialization and the hectic craziness of that whole month leading up to Christ's celebrated birthday.

It would be amazing to see people strip away everything related to that season, everything except for Christ, so they could truly become close to Him.
