Amy . . .

What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

the week ahead

2 things
1) I was able to take off a few hours and will go to the funeral. Leaving work at 430am and hoping to make it to Savannah by all after running home to change!. Pray, its going to be a rough day. Im expecting it to be a full church. Her precious life will be celebrated tomorrow. What an awesome, beautiful experience this has been for me. To be a part of a journey like this is like nothing I have experienced. Miss Priss will be remembered.

2) I am quite happy Mr Peyton is going to the bowl. Okay I dont know football. In fact I learned tonight that the quarterback is not on the field the whole game. Something about defense and offense. I need to learn. I am kind of excited about this game. Perhaps its the commercials because it certainly isnt about halftime. I think Jennifer Hudson should sing the National Anthem.

Thats all. I am off the next 4 days so hopefully I will get a lot of things done. I will let you know

I had to read about your patient down below; children dying do touching our heart - it's so wrong. So many things never to be done... But at the same time so many things to be grateful for, so many things to remember with a smile.

May she rest in peace.

I'm sorry I haven't written sooner - we got the flu and it wiped out the whole house!

I'm so sorry to hear about Catie ~ I lost a student once to a brain tumor, Cory. It is the hardest thing to go through. I couldn't imagine if it was my child.

I'll be sending lots of prayers and good vibes your way to take with you to the funeral. I hope it helps to bring closure for you and Catie's family.

And ~ I have to agree with you about the Colts finally getting to the big game. I love football - but I'm not always up on what's going on. I do have to say that I'm not a Patriots fan...but that's probably because they are threating to take away some "titles" held by my hometown team. :) (Pittsburgh Steelers Rock! - well, at least they did last year. ;)

Praying for the family and you today. I'm glad you were able to go to the funeral.

That's funny what you said about Peyton, because I know nothing of football either and I asked my son if Peyton got hurt because he was sitting on the sideline with his head down ;o) He just laughed at me! Oh well! Go Colts!

Thank you for stopping by a Chelsea Morning and leaving me such a nice comment, Amy.

I scrolled back through your most recent posts. I'm very sorry about little Catie. The whole situation, with her mother about to give birth to a new baby so soon after losing Catie, is very sad.

My mother is a nurse, too. I know you're not supposed to get attached, you're supposed to stay detached and professional, but like you, I'd never be able to do that. Nor can my mother.

It's very difficult. I'm very sorry for this loss.

Hope you have a nice 4 days off, inspite of all the things already on your schedule. I'm sure the funeral is going to be very moving and kindof bitter-sweet. Have a safe trip...
