Amy . . .

What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

Relaxation

Not much going on here at the Christopher. Busy weekend at work and Michael and I both have the day off tomorrow. We have our small group this coming Friday. I am hoping to get off from work 7-11 to go. We went to church today starting out with our Discovery 2 class and talked about the importance of group and community. We got to another new couple who is really nice and lives near us. After our class we have about an hour before the service starts so we chill in the church's coffeehouse and chill for a bit. We met another new friend who is mom of twins who were born at 26 weeks. We talked about how in control of her life she was and how having the babies early and having twins just changed her whole lifestyle. What a neat lady! I hope we get to meet her husband and kids soon. She is very nice!

Last week we talked about what we do to relax and I really didn't have an answer. I blog but I need something else. Michael has a variety of things and I don't . Boohoo. What do you guys do to relax when life is just too busy?

Its definitely fall here in Atlanta. the leaves are not as full of color more than likely because of the drough but they are still beautiful and the weather is starting to change..I love it!

Hi Amy! I subscribed to your blog on my Google Reader and I'm so glad I did. Somehow I missed the fact that you are reading Same Kind of Different as Me. I LOVED THIS BOOK! I got to meet Ron Hall and Denver Moore when they were here for a book signing. They are such blessings.

As for relaxation, it's hard. I read. I listen to music. And, when I can, I scrapbook. BUT the truth is, I don't get to do these things very often at all.

Blessings,

:-) Susan

When I want to relax, I read a book or listen to MuggleCast, a Harry Potter podcast. Yes, I'm a nerd.

Relax? What is that?
When I do find a moment for myself, a good book and warm bath are the best. I like to crochet, too. That I can do even when 3 kids are driving me nuts.
And good tv. If you turn it up loud enough!

I have not figured out how to relax with 3 young kids around. When I can, I try to watch a movie. I really do mean try because one of the kids usually wakes up before the movie is over.

What is is this relaxation you speak of?!?!? I have heard of it but not sure of what it is... My 16 yr old was out of school last week, my 6 & 7 yr olds were out this week.. And as for the rumors,,,, I am living for them at the present time... Hubby even asks what I've heard....I have him hooked... As it gets closer,, I find myself very absorded by the adoption again, kind of like when it was all new, and still paper chasing, you know, so many moons ago!!!!

Hi Amy,

I like to relax in a bubble bath. I rarely have time to do it however. I also find being creative relaxing so I am looking forward to an all day scrapbook event next month.

I don't do much to relax either so I hope our blogging friends can help us out with that one.

The woman with the twins sounds like a very interesting person to talk to. Today one of my closest friends is going in to be induced into labor with her first child. He isn't due yet, but he's big and ready according to the doc's.

To relax I really do enjoy blogging, or I head over to Pogo.com for some games, I go down to the beach regularly, I play Soduku, I organize and clean. :-0

Okay, don't hate me for this one, but to relax I enjoy organizing something like a book shelf or the dvd cabinet! Crazy, I know. But not only is it relxing, but it accomplishes something too!

Hi Amy!

I got my package today! Thank you so much! :)

I do on-line surveys to relax...or I'll read a book with a glass of wine or cup of tea (depending on my mood). Hope you're having a great Monday. :)

Not that I live a stressful life but certainly riding my Harley provides me with a huge amount of relaxing moments. Specially when riding through the Arizona back roads and visitin little towns.

When life is just too busy, I like to get away. One time we went to a lake and rented a cabin. The calm of the water helped me to relax. Thanks for visiting my site.
