Amy . . .

What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

I have said it many times before, we do not get fall here in Phoenix. We go straight from summer into winter. I do however love the last three months, starting with Halloween, then Thanksgiving, and Finally Christmas. To me Christmas is the best time of the year.

Let's see...Fall traditions, picking apples and making apple pies, crisp, whatever I can think of out of apples. Yesterday we went to a farm north of were we live to a pumpkin farm and took our kids out to pick pumpkins. Going trick or treating, this year we have a Halloween party we are going to which should be really fun!

Crisp fall leaves, hearing the wind blow - you can hear it blowing winter closer and closer.

I love snuggling up with a good book and a steaming cup of tea and of course knitting.

Fall is always a great time to try out a new recipe, I really enjoy baking and cooking a lot more in Fall.

There is nothing like a hot apple or rhubarb crisp and of course apple pie, hot cocoa and so much more.

Best of all it's a good time to find things to do inside as a family, maybe a game night or picking out a favorite family movie.

Hey there! I know I haven't commented in AGES, but I can't pass up a chance to tell you what I love about fall! I love all the little goofy things as well as the big ones. I love the way the air smells a little different...like you can smell the cold. I love wearing sweatshirts and sweaters with jeans and light jackets. I love the colors. We took the kids to the pumpkin patch (pics on my facebook page) and that was just so much fun. I also love football - and watching football in the fall is just awesome.

As far as traditions go we haven't really developed any, yet. I think I'd like to start some soon, though...one that we have that we started as a little family (me and DH) is that we watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and eat Cinnamon Rolls on Thanksgiving morning. I love that parade - after Santa comes down the street I officially get to listen to Christmas music! :)

I LOVE the colors of the season....just takes my breath away!

One tradition we have is on opening pheasant hunting (usually around the 20th of oct.) we take the day off and hunt our land with my husbands family that comes from every direction and then have a big "family party" that evening with food and LOTS of drink. This year unfortunately we did not take the day off and hunt...we are so far behind with the harvest this year we all worked!
