Amy . . .

What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

Happy Fathers day

I hope that all of you enjoy your day celebrating and recognizing the fathers in your life. I am pretty tired but I hope what I am thinking can be put into words. I have decided not to put this in the order it should go..

Michael- What an amazing father he will be. Why? For one, he does have the biggest heart around and he is full of knowledge. What else do you need. He can be silly. I love his silliness and I think he is going to have a blast when we get home from China. I hope that our daughter has lots of daddy/daughter moments growing up, I know he will provide many. Michael has had a down week as he is looking for employment. He shares some of his feelings over at Valtools Box. Go send him some love.

I think about what fathers are all about. There is my Heavenly Father who is my perfect father. Words to describe him are love, awesome, precious, forgiveness, mercy, grace, shelter, provider, comforter, protector.. I am blessed to be so greatly loved when I know I don't deserve it.

I think about my dad. My dad is a lot of the words above. As a child, he was my protector who provided me with love, shelter and forgiveness.

Fathers are important. They are needed. I hope that I have shown my father how much I love him and how much I appreciate everything he has done for me. The older I get, the more I get to know how much he loves me. I have amazing childhood memories (no I didn't make them up) because of how he raised his family..I have recently started thinking about the things he taught me as a child. At the time, I did not know why he spent time on certain things, but now I do..My daddy is the wisest man I know. One summer he made me read biographies. I thought it was cool. I could write for hours on why I love my dad, but I have to give some meds to a baby. I hope that my Michael and our daughter will experience the same. I am absolutely certain they will!
Unconditional love is hard to give but so wonderful to accept.

Grandpa Ray- I love him. He is silly and I enjoy our visits when we see each other. A lot of childhood memories include him and I am glad. His quote "There is no such thing as bad ice cream"

Granpa Norman- He passed away when I was 6 years old and I only have one memory of him. He would give us medicine every night after dinner. His medicine was 10 M&M's in a medicine container he would get at the grocery store. I used to love to hear stories about him.
