Amy . . .

What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

Thirteen Things about Amy

13 random things about the neighborhood garage sale because i cant think of anyhing else to do today

1. What was to be a garage sale for just Michael and I, is now open to the entire neighborhood

2. I have met a new friend who is helping organize the sale.

3. We spent over 2 hours (and thats a lot) walking around the neighborhood talking and passing our flyers

4.I still have my part of the neighborhood to do and I was going to do it this afternoon but my feet are really hurting.

5.We are using the sale to help raise money towards the adoption process\

6. We have to get our house organized and have a lot of stuff to sell

7. Things that are not sold will be donated to a charity

8.The sale is in Kennesaw, Ga and will be June 23rd at 8am

9. The neighborhood will reimburse the money used for an ad in the paper

10. While walking today, I learned a lot about my neighbors

11.We are praying for no rain and as much rain as we have been getting, this should not be a problem

12.Michael cleaned out the garage so that it will be easier to organize the day before

13. We would love to have a lot of neighbors participate!!!!!

Hey Amy- good luck with the yard sale, a lot of work. You will do better with a neighborhood sale. Check out yardsalequeen.com, they have a place where you can advertise your sale and answer any questions about pricing/selling. Good luck!

I caught the contest bug...

Neighborhood garage sales are awesome! We can't have them here in South Florida in the land of the gated community.

I love big yard sales like that! I usually get my kids to make rice crispy squares and then they can sell them. :)

Good luck with the sale! I meet and reconnect with my neighbors during our annual neighborhood sale, too.

Hope you guys make lots of money and can make lots of space -- kids need it, if only for their toys!

Happy TT!

Good luck with the yard sale! They're a lot of work, but one with the neighbors is much more fun.

Yard sales are a lot of work...I couldn't imagine trying to get a whole neighborhood in line. Good luck and hope it all goes smoothly!

Fun stuff! We had a couple in our town who were saling to fund adoption, and many, many people kept donating to them for the sale, and they had it every weekend. It was fun coming to see what new stuff they had each week!
My friend just got home with her second China adoptee! Her little one has an eating disorder, she will NOT eat, you can't put anything in her mouth except a bottle. Poor thing, she's 2.

Good luck with the garage sale! I hope you do well in order to help you with the adoption process, which is expensive.

Ahhh, a garage sale -- we really ought to do one of those to get rid of some of our junk! :) Good luck with yours!

Happy TT, and thanks for visiting my blog.

Good luck with that garage sale!
Sounds like a lot of organizing, so I hope it will pay off.
I don't even know most of my neighbours' names, even though I have lived here almost all my life. Sad, really, but entirely my own fault. ;o)

Wish I could do a garage sale and get rid of all this stuff I have laying around, but New York City is not cut for it :(

The sale sounds like it's coming along well. It's great that you have the neighborhood involved, you'll probably draw a bigger crowd when there are multiple families participating.

I've never had a garage sale. I'm not sure that I've actually been to one. My inlaws are big garage sale people. I don't have the patience to have one.

Best wishes on the garage sale and adoption. Lovely Wife's first cousin and his wife in Chattanooga are in the same process, to adopt a baby from China.

Good luck with your sale. I love to browse, but never would have one at my home. Too much work - participated in one at my sis/i/law's, and that one was enough.

Thanks for visiting.

I wish you all the luck with your sale! I hadn't realized just how much work they are until we had our own before we moved. I'm not much of a yard sale goer and that was the first sale I had been involved in. We didn't do as well as we had hoped. I had things over priced and not many people made offers. People want things for next to nothing, even the never used items. It was a fun day though!

Thanks for stopping by and again, good luck!
