Amy . . .

What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

Book Review Same Kind of Different as Me

last night I attended book club with sister Kelly who was visiting from Fl. That visit will be talked about in my next post. Anyway, we went to the church, had a wonderful dinner of chicken casserole, rice, veggies and yummy apple pie and then talked about the book in small groups. The book we talked about it the book on my "What am I reading: column on this blog.

I want you to read this book. In fact, my next contest will be for a copy of this book. its that good. I don't care if you share my beliefs. I don't care if you are male or female or if you only read one type of book. This book is that good and will make you think. Mark Henry, our lead teaching pastor recommended it and I know why.

I wasn't going to tell you what its about but it involves modern day slavery and reads like a fiction book but its all true. I'm not sure any fiction write could write this story. Steven R and Tymm H, if you read this post, I really think you would like this book. I know a lot of people prefer not to read fiction books. Find a friend to read it the same time. Find someone you can talk about it with. I liked this book so much I would think about doing a yahoo book review group sometime. My sister checked it out at her library so try there. let me know if you are thinking about reading it or if you want more information. I did not read the back of the book before I read it and I am glad. I promise, this book will make you think and make you experience some emotions. Perhaps you are going on a long trip soon, I totally recommend it.

If you live in the Atlanta area, I cordially invite you to the next book club in February. A lot of people who went last night do not attend the church. I hope you will join me!

Hmmmm...thanks for the book tip - I have a deep love for collecting them, but it takes me forever to actually get to them. Maybe I'll have to push this one forward?
