Amy . . .

What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

The most creative costume I ever saw was 12 years after the fact. When my husband was 8, his mother dressed him up as a little old lady. It was the hit of the neighborhood, apparently, because when I met the neighbors after we got engaged, they brought out the pictures.

Hmmm....I loved the crayola crayons made with poster board one year. My boss (a male) was a great Cruella De'vil one year. He did it all at Goodwill.

My favorite kids' costume was the dalmatian made with an aviator cap with felt ears...and a white sweat suit painted with black dots.

A few years ago, I saw a teen with a cheerios box glued to his shirt, with a knife stuck into it.
It took me a second, but "cereal" killer. I thought that was great!

The best was when someone dressed up as a student ID card in University. They made a replica of the card out of bristol board and cut a hole out for their face for where the picture is - it was great!

actually, Mrs Duck used to hold a Halloween party every year. She did a shakespeare theme one year, and while most people showed up in the Romeo and Juliet theme, one guest came as a Caesar Salad, since he did write the play Julius Caesar

I saw a costume a few years ago that I thought was great. They had taken tea stained cheese cloth and wrapped it around and attached it to a pair of thermal long undewear to make a great mummy costume. I once made myself a candy corn costume. Maybe I will drag it out again for this Halloween.

Not sure about the best, but the funniest I heard is from my husband. He still remembers (regrets) the year he was the Incredible Hulk. His mom thought that it would be great to use food coloring on his skin. Needless to say he was green for over a week!

I thought the October issue of Parents magazine had some of the cutest made at home costumes. The one I liked best was the one made out of kitchen sponges stitched on to a green one piece to make a dragon. Very clever idea.

a friend wrapped herself in thin cotton & said she was the "world wide web"
i like when jim on "the office" puts 3 black construction paper circles on his shirt & says he's a 3-hole punch.

A Deviled Egg... red sweats & turtle neck, a white oval-shaped pull-over they made with a yellow circle in the middle. Devil horns & tail.... very cute!
