Michael W Smith Christmas Concert

Have you ever heard a song that moves you tears? I am not talking about the Christmas shoes!!!!I mean, those serious songs that just move you! Tonight, MWS had a special guest and I do not remember his name. He sang O Holy Night and it was the best version of the song I have ever heard and I have heard every version. It was awesome. What a beautiful sacred song! The Fox Theatre was silent.
Awesome.

Weekend details coming. Lucy the bassett hound costume pictures to be posted tomorrow night..Check out the family blog for news

yes i really get what you mean... when I listen to songs...i really try to listen tothe words along with the way the person is singing it...Some songs move me to tears, some make me inexplicabley happy and some make me really sad... I try to avoid the latter ones completely... but the 1st 2 I guess just stick in my mind and heart... A lot of christmas songs fall in tose categories... but they are mostly the old numbers and not our modern day variety...

BTW, the name of the artist Amy refers to is Michael Olsen, of Michael W. Smith's Rocketown Records.

Amy, I've been meaning to stop by for a while and say hello. I'm glad I got to see the adorable reindeer antlers. It makes me wish I had a pet to torment.

I also wish I could have heard this concert you mention. I have felt the same way before with music. The first time I heard Amy Grant's Christmas Lullaby (I will lead you home), it took my breath away.

I totally know what you mean about the songs...some songs just cut right through to our heart and we have no control of the emotions they evoke. And I love those songs!
