Amy . . .

What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

Interesting TT :-)

I've never even heard of most of these!
Do you also have to give insulin injections & rub in skin creams and that or is that for the mothers only? What about nappy changes?

Tink said...

I don't know any of them and I'm glad with that! :-)
My TT shares Thirteen (quotes from) lyrics by Robbie Williams.

Yikes, I have no idea what these medicines are for, but they sound terrible! Happy TT!

I only heard of the first one too. I don't know if that is god or bad . . .

Wow! Strong medicines I should say for a pediatric ward.
Thanks for the visit.

Interesting--foreign-sounding!

I like your title about breaths--I agree.

Interesting list - I've heard of a bunch of them. Definitely among the most original lists I've seen for TT

Gracious Amy, those are some intense meds!!

My nephew was on Phenobarbital for the first 18 months of his life & then weaned off. That was amazing!

Have a super day!

Julie

You have a tough job. There must be times when it is heart breaking.

I've never even heard of most of them. I don't know what we would do without nurses to keep track of this stuff for the rest of us!

And thanks for your comment on my own Thursday 13 on Famous People I've Met. Here's the URL so you can post a link: http:/petrini1.livejournal.com

I have never heard of any of them, and for that I feel blessed.

Unbelievable. Those are really the biggies of medications. Do you have to do med counts? Lock downs? All that stuff??

erin said...

Wow, I'm impressed you can even spell half of those! :)

I knew 3! You've got an incredibly important job!

Thanks for stopping by my 13 tips for dads.

Well there are two for sure I can't take, I am allergic to penicillin. Interesting list. I don't know what most of them are for.

I hope there's not a quiz later - not only can I NOT spell any of them, I doubt I could even say any of them! Happy TT13 :P

Well, I take one of those. I won't say which. ;)

Whew! nasty, strong stuff! I hated giving out meds to my patients because I knew that even though it helped some bad stuff, it also hurt them in other ways. It was hard.

You have a stressful, but rewarding job!

Thanks for stopping by

Hi Amy, I worked on a Pediatric floor for about 6 months and did not like giving meds to kids.I switched to OB and took care of Moms and babies. This was my home for over 30 years..I praise you for doing a great job with your kids at work. Baba

What is Keppra? I like the way it sounds...

I recognize a lot of those. I worked in the mental health field. I actually take lamictal for my seizures. I tried Topamax which also is called dopeamax in our field. I had to stop it, my IQ dropped horribly and it didn't help my seizures. I wonder who can take it? I have heard a lot of people can't becaase of the bad side effects.

Thank you for stopping by my T13. :o)
