Amy . . .

What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

Thirteen Things about Amy

Thirteen things I remember at Christmas time

1.My family gave me awesome Christmas memories until I moved out of the house
2.My first Christmas as man and wife was perfect. We had a real tree and a fire and it was cold and cozy!
3.One time I got a Family Ties board game and we played with it before my parents woke up
4.One family member likes to regift
5.I love to stay at home and celebrate the holiday with my family
6. I love to attend Christmas Eve Candlelight services and not because I always had to
7.I love the fact that santa still leaves me a full stocking
8.I love to read the story of the real reason of Christmas. What a humble, awesome story to remember
9.I remember going on a hayride to see Christmas lights in a neighborhood one year
10.One year, we all got to pick our favorite food and that was Christmas dinner..It was eclectic, but wonderful
11.I loved making Christmas lists every year for Santa
12. I hated the day I realized that I got a lot more at Christmas than many children around the world
13. Christmas movies rock. I loved watching them with Kelly and Wes!!!!

Yup, some great Christmas memories... I know family members that regift too! I don't remember my first Christmas with my husband though... I remember our first Christmas together. I had just turned 18 and he bought me a horrid sweater! :)

We do Christmas stockings too. I am going to have filling one for my husband this year. :-)

I think there's a re-gifter in every family. Did your re-gifter ever accidentally give a gift back to the original giver? It's always interesting when that happens for those of us watching from the sidelines.

Family Ties board game - wow that is classic!! :)

I'm howling about the regifter -- how'd you discover that (or shouldn't I ask?).

Happy TT!

What great memories! I love the idea for Christmas dinner. We don't have a standard tradition, because everyone has other things on their mind, but this might put a different spin on things.

Thanks for the reminder about Christmas movies. We need to get ours out of the attic soon!

Those are great memories!

The Christmas hayride sounds wonderful!

This is our first Christmas in our "real" house. I want it to be perfect...but we're missing a gas log still! (We're renting & the previous renters made off with the log) We at least have the real tree!

Merry Christmas!

Family Ties boardgame??? I didn't know that there was ever a FT game..I LOVED that show.

A hayride through a neighborhood looking at lights sounds like fun!

What a cool idea - the "everyone's favorite food" dinner! I think I may throw that one out to my family this year! (Has to be other than christmas though. We have our Italian traditions from which we cannot deviate! heh)

Thanks for visiting Snarkypants. Have a good week!

I love #7! I still get a stocking every year. This year the mom is even making one for boyfriend head. He's never had a stocking before, so it should be a good time

Amy - thanks for stopping by!

This is a great TT. Sometimes I regift...but it is because I have something that is still in the box that I know someone else really wants.

Great list! I am guilty of regifting, but never used items, always new, never tacky, and that I never used with the tags still on. :O)

I've been known to regift--and have also been the recepient. But rarely. Usually the family drawing for names.

Great list.

My TT is up--click on the scroll to find it.

Number 10 sounds wonderful! One year all of our in-town extended family was out of town for Christmas so we made a smaller (and delicious!) meal and stayed in our pj's all day. It was one of the best Christmas dinners ever.
