Amy . . .

What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

2 things

1) Since I posted about snails, I thought I would mention something else as random. Head over to your post office and get some stamps. Really. Go get some. For the first time in a long time, there is quite a collection like Disney, flowers, trees, Presidents and other things..

2) Last year Michael and I celebrated our anniversary in Williamsburg. HE bought me this beautiful completely round basket (no handle). My intent is to celebrate seasons with it. What should I fill it with for the fall. I am not good at the whole decorating thing so I need you help..Here is a poll. Any other ideas would be wonderful. Thanks

Amy - Fill your basket with leaves, all different colored ones. I'm sure they have some nice fake ones at Michael's.

Amy, what about filling the basket with pine cones or with potpourri that has a good smell. Baba

I have a little fall basket that I have a lovely potpourri in that smells like autumn, and I added to it little adorable wooden pumpkins. I just love it.

Gourds always make a nice arrangement too! You can buy them pretty cheap too.

Those little baby pumpkins are great and they last a long long time! I always buy them in the fall and I set them in different places around the house.

Okay, well you know me - of course I had to vote for apples :-)
However, I think you could do a mix of apples, little pumpkins, maybe some leaves or bulbs or something.
Oh wait - I suck at decorating. Just go to your local Michaels Crafts and you'll be bombarded with ideas!

How I miss fall....we have 300 days of summer and 65 days of cool (below 70*) weather.

Fill it with baby pumpkins!

Like everyone else, I think the potpourri is a great idea!

Thank you for your sweet comments on my blog, Miss Amy. :)

How about pine cones? You could sprinkle some potpourri in the bottom of it and layer pine cones on top? Happy anniversary to you both!! An Williamsburg? That sounds divine. We are moving up that way in January and so much looking forward to visiting Colonial Williamsburg.

Have a great Thursday, Amy!

Definitely Michael's is a great source for ideas and cheap things to fill that basket with. My wife did a few for our house that looked totally great and were very inexpensive.
