Amy . . .

What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

New hobby

I visit your blog. Then I find someone who commented on your blog. I visit them and then find someone who visited them. I continue to this until I find one I do not like. This could be the reason I have almost 300 blogs in my blogline collection. I must stop. But I can not. Many of them are China adoption blogs and I don't want to miss out on any thing.

Here is another question for you!
Let say you have to get a gift for an adult female friend you don't know. You cant spend more than 30 dollars. What do you buy this person?!

I happened upon your blog by doing something similar! Its great to "meet" so many people on different quests in their lives.

As for the gift - candle gift sets are always a winner in my book when I don't know the person relatively well in a neutral-type scent. Gift cards work too if you don't mind giving those, although not very personal.

Gift certificate for a manicure and pedicure. I don't know anyone who does not like some pampering. Some people don't like others touching their feet, so they can just get several manicures.

Picture frames might work. Who doesn't like showing off loved ones?!

I would buy them Bath and Body Works lotions, bath gels, perfume etc....We all like to smell good right??!!

Eww...I hate buying gifts for people I don't know because it's so difficult to know what they like and what they already have.

That being said, a gift card or basket of goodies might be nice. Or maybe a gift certificate to a movie theater packaged with some theater sized candy?

I love to pick someone's blog and visit as many listed on their blogroll as possible. I find some interesting stuff that way including those Georgia blogs for the blogroll at Georgia On My Mind.

I was going to suggest a manicure/pedicure, but someone else already did......Starbucks card?

Definitely a gift card someplace - then they can choose exactly what they like!

Of course, then they know exactly how much you spent.

I always like to get Bath & Body stuff...

I loved it when I got a gift certificate to the movie theatre that included two movie tickets and a coupon for one large popcorn, two large drinks and a candy! Hubby and I got to go out for a free evening.

I like your new hobby Amy! There are so many great blogs to read and I'm trying my best to stay with my chosen few because I want to make some real friendships that will last a lifetime. I lurk at a lot of places, do you?

pick a theme for the gift - home (kitchen, bath, and if you're brave...the bedroom), work, school, crafts, blah blah blah...then fill a gift basket with all sorts of odds & ends that relate to that theme...it's fun, it's easy and something in the basket has to be something they like!
(Example: you pick the kitchen: kitchen towels, dish detergent, sponge, fancy scrub brush, silicone pot holder, spoon rest, etc..and you can get most of it at discount stores!)

Hello amy...
It's been a while...
I love your new look...
How about some scented candles, or gift certificate to a salon.... anything we don't normally do for our selves...

Gift card! It's very hard for me to buy for someone I don't know well. I say you can't go wrong with a gift card!

I frequently visit other people's commenters. It's a great way to make new friends.

Bath and Body works is the first thing that came to my mind. They can always exchange the scent if they don't like it.
