Amy . . .

What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

Ok well I cry easy, you know that. Im watching last nights Capitol Celebration that included Elliot yamin. Hes the only reason I wanted to watch it but thats another story. Well then Yolanda Adams decided to sing Jeremiah was a Bullfrog but sang Jeremiah was a prophet which made Tony Danza make a nice little comment on that..

The point of this post is they showed a lot of men and women who have served our county in the first few rows. Oh my..They showed close ups of men who had prosthetic hands and a gentlemen who had his face disfigured. My heart sank. These men went over seas, risking their lives to help protect our freedom. Oh how I want to just say thank you. Thank you for what you did. I wish they did not have to suffer or have these disfigurements which drastically changed their lifestyles when they come home.

Thank you to all who go out to serve. Its appreciated more than you will ever know. It made my heart think. I will only be watching this show once..

Pray for those who are still away from their loved ones!!! Pray for the families whose loved ones will not be coming home!

I have a friend serving overseas and I think about him and his family all the time. He has 2 kids ~ one who is 4 and one who just turned 1 ~ and I think about all that he is giving up here to do what he does.

I don't think words can really describe how grateful we all should be because so what these men and women do...it's not a matter of if we agree with why they are over there...it's that they are there and we need to honor and respect them for it. And thank them every way we can. Great post, Amy!

Amen! Our service men and women don't give enough thanks! They need to be recognized for the great service they are doing for our country and for our families! I'm sorry that they have to know that people are quarreling all the time over whether or not they should be there. I'm sorry that our country becomes so divided when we should all be supportive and be there for the families who are left behind. Each person who is there is in the service by choice! I am thankful to the men and woman who volunteer their service and for that reason there is no draft. I pray for the safety of our service men and women and pray for their families! Thank you for recognizing these great folks!

I watched for Mr. Yamin too, but was only truly affected by the faces of these service men & women. They need to be out in the forefront more often so we are reminded of their sacrifice. Freedom is not cheap.
