Amy . . .

What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

Thirteen Things about Amy

Thirteen Random things going on in my head

1. When will get our Log In Date from China?
For details on that, check out our adoption blog, here
2.When are we going to be out of debt?
3.I have the desire to organize and clean my house,
but I have having a hard time getting started
4.OH how I love my husband
5.Brain tumors suck. NOTE! I do not have one but I am
watching several families battle this
6.Am I going to do a good job organizing the baby shower
for the 4 ladies at work?
7.Lucy the basset hound is crazy and when she hears a door
bell on tv, she barks and barks
8.Sanjaya..nuff said
9.BH 90210 season 2 comes out May 1st
10.I cant find my Forever book by Karen Kingsbury. I am
almost finished with it but cant find it..Ugh
11.Losing weight sucks. Becoming fluffy was easier than the actual
defluffing itself. I think I made a new word
12.I have met a lot of new people because of this adoption
13.My heart goes to all victims, faculty, staff, students, at Va Tech. I
pray for the family of the shooter. This was crazy and I can't explain my
thoughts on this!

Sorry about that!!

I can certainly identify with #3. I need to put away my laptop, shut up my PC, and get to work! I get up and do a few things and sit right back down. Or, I'm gone some place, to see grandkids play soccer, mostly. Just can't seem to get wound up at the right time to finish.

Check out my TT.

That's a great list! My husband and I have considered international adoption. We'd love to have a son. It's so time consuming... and expensive. It's awesome that you all have made the dedication and are so close!

Lots of thinking.....but you got some good thoughts in there.

You know with all this I am reading about Sanjaya on the blogs, I almost want to watch now...lol.
#11 is easier with exercise and lots of water! Hang in there with the defluffing.

#1 is gonna make #2 hard :-)

Best of luck on the adoption. I don't guess we ever get out of debt!

My TT is also posted.

Gaining weight is always so much easier than losing it - but it'll all be worth it in the end. Or at least, that's what I keep telling myself as I pass up the cookies and chips aisle and plop my feet on the treadmill!

I agree! It's much easier to fluff than to defluff! lol!! BH 90210...loved that show!! Thanks for sharing!

GREAT list!! I hope the adoption goes smoothly...

LOL # Sanjaya...he's gone now, right? I thought I saw he'd been voted off, FINALLY.

Thanks for visiting my TT!

Getting fluffy sure was nice, losing was rewarding for me. Getting fluffy sure was nice though:)

Sanjaya is gone....good!

Good thoughts are coming your way! I hope everything turns out well for your adoption...

"Losing weight sucks. Becoming fluffy was easier than the actual
defluffing itself."

If you find the easy way to defluff please share with the rest of us :)

For #3, my mother in law swears by Fly Lady. flylady.com I think.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Have a very happy day and good luck with the adoption.

I have a hard time getting started organizing and cleaning, too, but like the results.

Hope you do well on the weight loss. I need to get started.

I'm praying for all those affected by the VA shooting, too.

poor Sanjaya,,,everyone hates him -but me !!I voted for him everyweek-as did all my friends-it was a conspiracy....

Loved the list! Sounds like my posts on Random Stuff.

Thanks for visiting.

I really want to participate and have put you in my favorites, the only problem...I have three blogs and that coupled with reading my blogroll fills up my free time. I'm a SAHM.

We'll see. ;)

I ask myself the debt question every day, and the answer is still September 2001. Getting rid of 33K is tough. Sometimes I just wanna go bankrupt for the easy life!

Hope all goes well with the adoption. Our dogs all still run to the door and bark when a tv doorbell rings. I left Lovely Wife this morning for work, with her still tucked in bed and reading a Karen Kingsbury book. I have no idea which one, but she was lamenting the fact that it was the last one in whatever series she's reading.

LOL "Defluffing"? Awesome. I'm going to start using that one. :) Congrats on your adoption. I hope all goes smoothly for you.

I can certainly say this house of MINE needs a good dusting ---and here I sit. Oh well, sometimes, life is too short to worry about it.

Great T T

Sanjaya - don't have a clue what that is. I hope all goes well with your adoption.

My aunt and uncle recently adopted from China. She's a sweetheart. Good luck. I know there are a lot of details to that. I hope it goes smoothly for you!

I wish you the best with the adoption and the "defluffing". I defluffed successfully and have kept nearly 70 lbs off. It wasn't easy, but it was SO worth it!

Thank you for stopping by my TT!

If you figure out how to deal with #2, could you please let me (and the rest of the world) know? I've been pondering that myself.

Thanks for stopping by my TT!

Amen to the fluffing. Sigh.

DEFLUFFING! I love it! Thanks for creating a new word! Great list. Thanks for visiting mine. The Scavenger Hunt sounds really interesting!

My counselor recommended a book called "Financial Peace". He said it's supposed to be really good. I hear ya! :-)

Anonymous said...

Sounds like most of us agree about the fluff comment.

Sounds like we have some of the same random thoughts floating around in our head :o)

I'm sure you will do fine with the Baby Showers - They are so much fun and I have tons of game ideas, if you need any help!!

Thanks for stopping by...

I hope the adoption happens soon. I know you have been very anxious. Flylady does work (www.flylady.net). Even if you don't really do the thing (kind of like me) setting a timer for 15 minutes and picking at a chore you have been putting off really gets amazing results.

As far as how to start, that list was a pretty serious start to getting things taken care of.

I am adopted (within family though), congratulations on the new baby.

My list is rather simple this week, got too busy to be creative :)

I am all over the when can we get out of debt question

Goodluck with the adoption. I've always wanted to adopt from one of those countries.

As for the brain tumor remark. My coworker's husband died two days ago from an aneurysm. She went home at lunch and found him. He was 44 and the funerals tomorrow. It's just so sad ... you really feel for those who go through it.

Happy TT, thanks for dropping by mine.

BH season 2? LOL! (Yes, I'm afraid to admit it but I watched too).

My dog does that too even for any kind of noise. She thinks she's a rottweiler. I hear you about the fluffiness. I'm trying to hard to lose my baby weight and it's been hard because I love junk food!

Danielle said...

I am so with you on number 3. My house is in need of a serious cleaning but where should I put the kids, there is no room in the closet;}
The Scavenger Hunt is a great idea, I would join in the fun and reading if I wasn't so dang busy.

Thanks for stopping by my spot.

Be well and enjoy the day.
