Hmm, I'm only on one or two with you. I'm not much of a chick flick fan and I hate it when movies make me cry... although, armagedon is one of my favorites. I'm more of an action/adventure type of girl :)

Those are some good ones. Mine would have to be She's the Man and The Princess Bride. I never get tired of them.

My granddaughter is named Shelby, but I don't think that her mother got it from Steel Magnolias. Used to be fairly uncommon, but there are more and more of them around.
Have you thought of taking some of the actresses' or characters' names for your daughter?

Great list of movies! I love Napolean and Armageddon, too. Not exactly chick flicks, are they? Oh well. Anyway, I don't have kids but I do have one name to contribute. I knew a lady once who had a GI father and Chinese mother. They named her Chisai, which means "little one". I thought it was pretty... but it didn't really fit her. She stood 6 feet tall in her stocking feet!

I am definitely a chick flick kind of girl, but mine are of a different sort. Jane Austen movies, anytime, Notting Hill, Ever After. The list goes on and on...
That's a great list and I agree with most of them. I haven't seen Napoleon Dynamite (don't really want to) and I think Shag is a wonderful movie.

Great list! I loved A Walk to Remember! I had read the book a few years before but thought the movie was wonderfully done.
These are some of my favorites too. A Walk to Remember is so sad but beautiful. And Armageddon is my favorite movie - so many comic lines in that movie.

AWESOME list! I love Napoleon Dynamite (I too HATED it after I FIRST saw it, but now I feel like I live it everyday as I teach 8th graders!). Pretty Woman is also my favorite movie to quote!

I was so excited a few months ago that I found You've Got Mail on DVD. But boy was I disappointed to find out it was only 4 dollars. That movie's worth a million bucks!!

Ooooh, I love chick flicks. So I´m with you on #1,#3,#4,#9,#11(!!!),#12 and #13 of course! You may ask yourself: "What about the others?" Well, I haven´t watched them (yet) =)
I could also watch 16 candles and say anything over and over - they just don't make them like that anymore LOL Another favorite is "when a man loves a woman" and "when Harry met sally"
