Amy . . .

What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

What, no letter from the vetrinarian?

Seriously, that's a lot of work for you, especially making sure that they are the right ones.

Gosh, seems like a lot. But, I guess it's good to know that they are doing such a good job checking out who they let adopt.

Best of luck!

Good luck on all this. I know it probably seems like a long drawn out process that will never end, but the end is getting closer. Friends of mine finally brought the two-year old Russian girl they adopted home to Canada. They are thrilled. I'll be waiting to hear your good news too.

Good luck to you! I'll be looking forward to reading about your adoption very soon. There are a number of children in my school who have been adopted from Russia. They are so fortunate to be living with wonderful families.
Wishing you both the very best... R

Wow, quite a lot! They are very thorough.. It will be worth it in the end, I guess. Hang in there!
My TT is about oracle decks I own.

Talk about red tape! I suspect that if/when I go that route (tho adopting from India), it would be pretty much the same thing.

Sending out good vibes to you and your family for your pending new addition:)

All the best for the adoption! I hope everything goes according to plan (I suppose there is a plan, right?).
;o)

Geekwif said...

Wow, that's amazing. It always floors me to see just how complicated the adoption process is.

Good luck & best wishes with the adoption process!!! =)

Thanks for visiting my TT!

The code I have in my page for the TT in the scroll box looks like this:

div style="height:250px; text-align:left; overflow:auto; font-size:10px; line-height:12px;"

Put the little arrow (<) in front of and behind (>) all of that text - and then place it in front of your java script for the TT blogroll. That should do it!

I have several friends who have adopted--some international, some closer to home. I have enjoyed being able to share in the excitement of their good news after they had to jump through all the hoops and endure the anxious waiting time. How great it will be when your child comes to live with you!

Carina said...

Now, that's a lot of paperwork! Hope it all gets there and does what it's supposed to for you.

Cory said...

WOW! That's a lot of stuff.

Sheesh, that's a lot of stuff!

I come-by and read your blog every now and again and I just want to let you know that I wish you and your family the best of luck with the adoption.

I can't even imagine all the paperwork that goes into something like that! Keeping my fingers crossed for you guys!

Denise Patrick said...

It seems like a lot of paperwork, but I guess it's to make sure you're really serious. After all, who else would go through all of that?

Unknown said...

WOW! You have been busy getting all that paperwork together.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.

That is extensive list! What I am wondering is if you can bring an extra girl back for me. lol! THe hubby and I just went to dinner and there was a mom with a little chinese girl and I said to my husband, "You are getting me one those, right?" lol! Good luck to you!

EHT said...

Your list represents some large hoops I know you both are having to jump through. It will be worth it.

Thanks for visiting my TT....I had it up soooooo late.:)

Jen said...

Best of luck to you as you go through this process. It is truly unbelievable how many hoops you have to jump through to make it happen.

I love the idea of adoption. I hope some day DH and I will be able to adopt kids.

thanks for your comment on my blog

Will be praying for you and your family. I know it's not easy to go through all the adoption process.

I have friends that have adopted from China, Russia and Ukraine. It took my friends that adopted from the Ukraine over 1 1/2 to get it all straightened out. Lots of red tape.

Praying all goes well.

Barbara said...

I do believe you are excited! But, do you get to check them out that fully, too? :)

Thanks for visiting my blog.

are you getting as close as it sounds? is it more like weeks than months now? I am waiting with bated breath to see get your dream. one of the most noble there is: Mommyhood.

my TT this week was 13 things I have neglected to an embarrassing extent since word of the limpending library closure came four months ago. the doors were locked last night until funding can be scrounged. my mission over the next weeks is to grope toward balance in my life again.

Thanks for stopping by my TT. My parents just returned from a missions trip to China. They loved it.

My dad started his own blog about it, you can visit
