Amy . . .

What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

As I sit here watching the movie A Perfect Man with Heather Locklear and Haylie Duff, Lucy is fighting me for a blanket and pillow. We will share the pillow but it looks like she won the blanket.

We had a quiet Easter. I came home from work with Cracker Barrel. On my way home, I witnessed the aftermath of what looked like a pretty bad accident. Thats always scary. I napped for about a half hour and got ready for church. After an interesting incident at a church we have been wanting to visit for a long time, we made our way back to Heritage Pres. Church. Its a nice church and I enjoyed listening to the little people singing Amazing Grace. Im not sure we will back for a few reasons, but I enjoyed the sermon. As much as we want to find a traditional church, I think we are going to visit two more contemporary churches in the future including North Metro and First Baptist of Woodstock.

What are we looking for?It needs to be scripture based.
I want a church large enough that there are men and womens ministries. Michael would like to be involved in a choir and an active childrens program. it may sound like we are picky, but we are open. I want a friendly church. I liked one of the churches we visited but all we got was smiles and never a hello from anyone and we went a couple time. Oh well.....

After church, I napped for an hour and then we headed to Douglasville for a Greek Easter Celebration which included lamb and orzo. It was yummy. After a late lunch, early dinner and a lot of good conversation with the in-laws, we headed home for an hour or 2 of chill time..Now, its back to work.

Aren't you glad to celebrate Easter? If we didn't have Easter, I would not have the promise of eternal life and that makes me happy!

Hubby has an emotional Easter video over at Valtool's Box

Back to work after a nap in a few minutes...

BY THE WAY, all the books are packaged and ready to go... Hope most of you get your surprise soon..

I'll be praying about your church situation. I know it can be difficult finding a church that has most of what you want and need. First is definitely scripture based! I've visited a few churches and could not believe what the preachers told the congregations and never once opening a Bible!

We are blessed with our church and a new pastor. We have a wonderful children's ministry called Awana that many kids come to from outside churches because they don't offer anything at their church.

Keep hanging in there and praying too!

Sounds like a good Easter, and I hope you guys find the right church for you. I agree, it can be really hard to find one that feels welcoming and open and has what you need to feed your spirit.

Love "The Perfect Man", such a cute movie!

Hope you have a wonderful week :)

Hey, what's the scavenger hunt? I am so out of it.

Your Easter sounded really fun. I know it can be hard without a home church. We went 4 years when we moved hear...church jumping...until we found the right fit. When you fint he right place of worship for your family, God will let you know!
