Amy . . .

What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

more random thoughts

I love to blog. I love reading blogs. I am addictive. I need to come up with a mental game where I have to exercise as much as I blog..I will then defluff myself.

I do a lot of thinking. I dont talk to myself, but I think of serious things a lot. Last year was a self awareness year for me. I began looking at things differently, taking in others view of things. I started realizing that everything I say could impact someone. That includes my sarcasm, which could in turn hurt someone. I am not mean spirited most of the time.

What I want is not to want. Do you understand that? I want to be satisfied with that I have and to make the most of what I have . I am blessed beyond measure. Its unbelievable. I do not deserve what I have. God is continuously teaching me things and working in my life. What about you?
I want to simplify things. The first thing i think of is to give up blogging but I don't want to. I want to connect with people on a more personal level. That's why I am so longing for Michael and I to find a home church. We need one. Pray for us. Pray for our wait. Pray for the babies in China. Pray for the families of those lost this week.

I challenge you to encourage someone this week. Send a card to an aunt, friend or old roommate this week. Let me know what you to choose to do. Heck, tell your families you love them. Send a secret encouragement note to coworker.

Until Sunday

Don't forget to sign up for the Scavenger Hunt!

Hi Amy
Thanks for coming by my blog and commenting. I think you sound like a beautiful person. I hope you find your home Church. I have been at my Church for over 30 years and it is my family and gives me great comfort. God bless you Sweety!

What a great thing to be able to strive for - to not want and be satisfied with what you have! A lesson I could use myself!

I love how you said about playing a little game with yourself. I do that all the time! Like with blogging, I've just started making myself get up and walk at least 100 steps (I wear a pedometer) between blogs. Not sure if it's making me any less "fluffy", but it's forcing me to get some other things done and improving my step count each day.
And now I'm off to add 100 steps before I can read the next blog on my list.
Have a great week, Amy!

Very nice challenge. I took it and am sending a box of craft supplies to a special lady I met online. She's not in a very good situation and needs an outlet to make her smile. She loves doing crafts but doesn't have any extra spending money. So, I'm encouraging her by blessing her with this box of *fun*.
