Amy . . .

What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

I would represent making preschool available to all children. My oldest qualifies with his special needs, but my other two won't. Public preschool is only available currently to special needs and extremely low income in our area.

I am thankful for the rain. Even if we have gotten 4 inches this week and another 2-3 expected today and our yard is flooding...it is catching up the deficit. My grass is growing and getting greener by the day:-)

I would represent the government giving tax breaks and benefits to SAHM's. Here in Canada we have very expensive child care or subsidized child care. If a mom is able to stay at home with her child and receive these benefits, more people would be able to do so; especially in their formative years.

I am thankful for having been able to stay at home when my children were little and they really needed me. Sometimes I had to work opposit shifts from DH, but it was worth it to be home for them.

My platform would have to be - bringing God back into our public schools! This is something I feel strongly about and would love to be instrumental in bringing back prayer in the classroom. It seems that every time you turn around you hear of another aspect of our lives in which they want the mention of God taken away from us. I feel like as a country founded on religious beliefs we are shifting so far from where we should be in this day and time. I think freedom of religion means that we are free to express our beliefs in public without fear of retribution, so why are the atheists the only ones who seem to have an impact on these decisions?!
I'm thankful that I live in a country where I am free to make my own choices about my religion. I'm thankful that I have a relationship with God!

The first thing that popped into my mind was that line from Miss Congeniality, "World Peace"!!

For a real answer I'd have to go with something about education maybe, reading programs for kids.
Ooh, I like annb's answer, bringing God/prayer back into schools! Good one!
I'm thankful today that my blog is back up and running!

I would represent a flat tax.

I am thankful for an even seeing old friends I haven't seen in more than a year and seeing their son do an excellent job in their Youth group production.

Now I know some of you will probably disagree and say they are asking for it anyway, but I wish there was some kind of law for famous people that the paparzzi had to obey. We already see what happened to Princess Diana, I don't want anything to happen to anyone else, especially to their children.

I am thankful that I don't have anyone watching my every move (except God), which in itself is scary enough!
