Very handsome creatures!
The first one almost looks like a statue.
I really like the giraffe one - the way his neck looks is very neat.
Those are great shots! Really good color. I love wild animal pics.
I couldn't help but think how both almost look like models and not the real deal...guess that tells you how far visual affects have come eh?

Hi Amy!! Well, I'm finally starting to feel myself (after a nasty bout with Strep throat) and have begun posting again like a madman, after a week or so of very little activity..
These are great. I just took a trip to the zo a couple weeks ago. I'll have to get a couple photos up soon from the trip.
Tell ya what, see those majestic giraffe strolling free in Africa is something else.. Get there is you ever have the opportunity! Trip of a lifetime.

I love giraffes! Have you ever seen one run? They are soo graceful.
I love the Zoo in DC! After living in the DC area for 13 years, it's one of the few places I can get to with my eyes closed (I swear that city's streets were designed by crazy people!)

I love animal pics. The way this world is going, going to the zoo is going to be the only way to see any wild animal.

What's really interesting is how both those images have the same shape, the same arc to the necks even though the animals are so different. Cool pairing!

This is gonna sound like a weird one, but one of my dreams is to see a giraffe in the wild, running... they have this weird slow-motion type run, which I just adore.

The giraffe one is my favorite. I have one memory of seeing a HIPPO at the SanDiego Zoo,when I was 2, I still remember vividly.
We went to the D.C. Zoo about 10 years ago. I'd like to go back.

I love going to the National Zoo. The giraffe are definitely my favorite animal there. They just are so lovely and unique at the same time. I also like the primate house, although the gorillas makes me sad. Thanks for visiting my WW! :)
