What would you like to know? I am fun, but crazy. I have a most perfect husband, and 2 cats named Samson and Delilah. We are presently working on adopting a little girl from China and have a separate blog for that. I am a Christian and am working on a better relationship with him. I live in the Atlanta area and love sharing stories with people. I am also a pediatric nurse and I love it! I love to talk and meet new people and I love Disney Cruising

Thirteen Things about Amy


Thirteen foods that remind me of my childhood

1)Chicken and Dumplins-personal favorite
2)Spagetti- mom used to make it every week after swim practice
3)Quincy's- we thought we were so cool when we got to go eat after church
4)friend okra- yummy
5)hamburger steaks
6)fish sticks, macaroni, and peas- always a favorite meal
7) banana pudding
8) pancakes-
9)meatloaf
10)Little Caesers pizza
11) liver- we never ate it but mom used to make it for dad. I thought thats what love was all about...heehee
12)moms sweet tea- no ones makes it like mom
13) grandmas homemade cheese biscuits- enough said

Hey we are both early birds and used the same template for this weeks TT.
I make liver+onions now for my dad, me and mum hate it!
I love the dumplings, chicken or beef stew for me.
Hungry now.

Chicken dumplings is a favorite of mine too, and wow, I hadn't thought about Quincy's in YEARS. Ooo, and Western Sizzler, did you have one of those?

Love your T13! There is not a favorite childhood memory for me that does not involve some kind of food - and some of them are on your list, too!

What kind of dumplings? The doughy bread kind or the noodle kind? I love them both!

My husband and I used to eat Little Caeser's Pizza at least once a week in college. Hey, it was $5 for a large which lasted three meals. You can't beat that on scholarship budgets!

My husband makes the BEST CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS EVER! I love them. I also love sweet tea. Like REALLY sweet tea. In fact, it's more like I'd like some tea in my sweet ;)

My grandma used to make liver for spper,but I would only be there in the afternoon so I'd just smell it! It smelled SO GOOD! (Later in life, I tried it..ICK!)

Great Grandma made the BEST dumplings! I still use her recipe! YUMMY!

And I forgot to say that Chick-fil-A reminds me of my teen years working at the one on South Cobb Dr.... hehe. I thought you'd laugh!

Great list! Pancakes definitely remind me of my childhood too. my mom used to make them for us early on Sunday mornings. But we loved them most when she made them for supper! :-)

Liver and onions, I use to dump my plate in the dogs bowl when my dad was not looking. Sweet tea I only just tried the last few years when I traveled south. The first time I was asked sweet or un sweet I was like, HUH?? (Or whatever they said :-)My boss had a good chuckle! #2 for me here

I'm so glad you remember Quincys! My family and I lived in a hotel before we bought our house in Florida (yea for government moves; they pay for everything!), and there was a Quincy's right next door. We went there all the time! Thanks for the comments! Ciao
